Taxotere (Docetaxel) Permanent Hair Loss & Eye Injury Litigation
Taxotere (docetaxel) is a taxane chemotherapy drug made by Sanofi-Aventis and widely used to treat breast and other cancers. Lawsuits allege the manufacturer failed to warn patients and doctors that the drug can cause permanent, irreversible hair loss (alopecia) and disfiguring eye injuries such as canalicular stenosis (tear-duct scarring) and chronic excessive tearing. The permanent hair loss claims are consolidated in federal MDL 2740 and the newer eye injury claims in MDL 3023, both before Judge Jane Triche Milazzo in the Eastern District of Louisiana. As of 2026 the litigation remains active with no global settlement, and attorneys are still reviewing new claims.
Associated Conditions
- Permanent, irreversible hair loss (persistent alopecia) lasting 6+ months after chemotherapy
- Failure of hair to regrow on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or body
- Canalicular stenosis (narrowing or blockage of the tear ducts)
- Chronic excessive watery eyes / persistent tearing (epiphora)
- Eye irritation, recurrent infections, or blurred vision
- Tear-duct damage requiring corrective surgery such as dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR)
Claimant Eligibility
- Were treated with Taxotere or generic docetaxel, typically for breast or another cancer
- Developed permanent hair loss or a qualifying eye injury (canalicular stenosis/chronic tearing) after treatment
- The injury persisted well beyond completion of chemotherapy (generally 6 months or longer)
- Have or can obtain medical and pharmacy records documenting the treatment and diagnosis
- Have not already settled or filed a separate claim for the same injury

Running a Taxotere mass tort marketing campaign
Common questions from law firms about Taxotere lead generation and campaign management.
- What does a Taxotere mass tort marketing campaign include?
- A Taxotere mass tort marketing campaign from Mass Tort Agency covers channel strategy across Meta, Google/PPC, OTT, and mass tort SEO; compliant ad creative; TCPA-verified intake; claimant qualification against your Taxotere case criteria; and signed-retainer reporting. Performance is measured on cost per signed retainer, not raw lead volume.
- Are Taxotere leads exclusive to my firm?
- Yes. Every Taxotere lead is delivered to one firm only — never resold, syndicated, or shared with competing firms. Your firm owns the contact data, consent records, and call recordings.
- How are Taxotere claimants qualified before delivery?
- Each Taxotere claimant is screened against tort-specific facts (exposure windows, injury markers, and state eligibility) and carries a TrustedForm or Jornaya consent token captured under the FCC one-to-one consent standard before the lead reaches your intake team.
- How is a Taxotere campaign priced?
- Campaigns are quoted and reported on cost per signed retainer (CPSR), so spend ties directly to signed cases rather than lead count. You can scale volume up or down by tort as your docket capacity changes.
